The programme also introduces hybrid and electric vehicle (HEV/EV) technologies, high-voltage safety, and digital service documentation to prepare learners for evolving automotive technologies.

A significant component of the programme is the 300-hour supervised industry placement, where learners apply their classroom knowledge in live dealership, fleet maintenance, or commercial workshop environments under the guidance of experienced technicians. Through practical assessments, competency logbooks, workplace observations, and professional evaluations, learners develop the technical proficiency, problem-solving ability, customer service skills, and professional behaviours required for successful employment.
